The Audio Consultants will be exhibiting at the UK Audio Show 2022 on the weekend of 8 and 9 October in the Worcester Suite on the 1st Floor at the Staverton Park Hotel, Daventry.
As a leading independent consultancy specialising in high quality 2-channel audio systems we will, this year, feature digital replay as sources. The systems will consist of a selection from our carefully curated portfolio, all chosen by ear for their exemplary sound quality.
Firmly committed to physical discs for optimal sound from digital formats, we will be showcasing the exemplary
Aqua Acoustics La Diva Mk2 Drive and
La Scala Optologic Mk2 DAC combination. This is one of the very best CD replay systems we have heard, at any price. We will also be playing a new CD player from the US brand
Ayre Acoustics, the CX-8, which sets a new standard at a moderate price level.
Streaming will be from the Innuos Zenith Mk3 from both its internal SSD hard drive and from subscription services. Enhanced performance for this model will be from the Innuos PhoenixUSB reclocker and the PhoenixNET network switch which takes the performance towards that of their flagship model, the Statement.
Amplification will centre on two new integrated models: the Ayre Acoustics EX-8 2.0 and the Luxman L-507Z. We will also demonstrate the AVM Ovation 6.3, the flagship integrated model from this renowned German brand.
The speakers will include the
Kudos Titan T707 as they were so well received last year, plus the new reference speaker from UK manufacturer
Ophidian, the
Voodoo. Both floor standing models have exceptional specifications and build quality and are able to energise large spaces with ease.

Harmonic Resolution Systems has introduced a new entry level equipment support called the EXR Audio Stand. This system is unique in its asymmetric design adding significant rigidity to the simple frame. For the first time, this stand incorporates integral shelves bringing the overall cost down to a new affordable price point for the brand. The next level SXR Frame and Isolation Bases will also be used.
Mains distribution will be controlled by Puritan Audio Laboratories Studio Master Purifier, the Special Edition variant designed exclusively for The Audio Consultants, and GutWire Cables power cords. GutWire Cables interconnects and speaker cables will be selected for the signal paths.
Room acoustics will be controlled with a small number of Acustica Applicata DAADs.
